The contents of this course are provided in the subjects actually offered by the AIT (Athlone Institute of Technology – Athlone – EIRE) The aim of this module is to develop the students' ability to apply knowledge gained in formal lectures and tutorials to practical situations and to further the students' analytical and problem solving skills in relation to human resource management issues.

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to: Explain the links that exist between organisational structure and culture. Compare alternative approaches to managing conflict within an organisation. Assess the impact of a change management initiative on the organisation and propose change management interventions as appropriate. Apply the principles of ethical and socially responsible behaviour to the analysis of business based problems and solutions. Critically reflect and propose actions in response to a variety of human resource issues.

In addition to the message sent by the online system, students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are invited to directly inform the professor in charge of the course about the special arrangements for the exam that have been agreed with the Special Needs Unit.
