This PhD course offers a comprehensive introduction to high-performance computing (HPC) systems applied to different application domains. Students will explore the fundamentals of supercomputers, learn how to utilize HPC resources at POLITO and gain practical experience with hands-on lectures focusing on developing in-house HPC-like systems. The course also introduces the challenges in developing reliable HPC systems for space applications. The goal is to provide students with theoretical and practical skills needed to approach the field of HPC.
