COURSES PROVIDED BY OTHER UNIVERSITIES IN ITALY AND ABROAD
Students have the opportunity to accumulate credits by adding to their Study Plan some courses that are not part of POLITO course catalogue, but are provided in bachelor degree programs at other universities or in different bachelor degree programmes.
Students have the opportunity to chose either courses in Italian or in other languages.
Students who are part of an international exchange programme of the Politecnico di Torino can add to their Study Plan courses of international universities, either they are provided in Italian or other languages. Such courses are registered as “Attività formative esterne all’ateneo” (Extra-POLITO Learning Activities).
Students address the request to the Director of the Bachelor referee by email, forwarding the course brief in Italian or other languages in order to have the course assessed. The Director of the Bachelor may ask to provide a translation of the original documents in Italian or English if necessary.
The Director of the Bachelor is entitled to validate the amount of ECTS credits to be acknowledged for a specific course if the course itself is consistent with the Bachelor learning objectives.
Students should address the course supervisor to agree on course admission and workload. If the course accepts only a restricted number of students, it will be necessary to contact the local Student Office at the University that provides the course to find an agreement.
After successfully passing the exam, students should upload the document that certifies the course's name, number of credits, name of the supervisor, evaluation mark and date of passing.
The Director of the Bachelor will verify all details and provide the electronic registration of the additional credits to the students' course workload.
In case the course are provided abroad, students should have it added to their Learning Agreement. In this case the registration is completed by the Erasmus referee.
