The course will cover the following topics: • Introduction on Urban Mobility, from the origins to MaaS • Introduction on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and on Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication • The ETSI ITS-G5 and ETIS C-ITS standards, Basic Services and ITS messages • V2X applications in Urban Mobility context • Security in V2X communication: attacks and counter methods • The current situation on the road, technology penetration rate and main hardware/software vendors • Simulations and field testing • Current V2X researches and projects in Politecnico di Torino The course will have a brief practical simulation activity with the following topics: • Basics on network simulators and simulations • Introduction to SUMO, ns-3 and ms-van3t simulators • Practical activity on V2X simulation • Practical activity results presentation for the final evaluation
