GUEST LECTURE:
Dr. Andrea Bikfalvi, PhD, is a ‘Serra Húunter’ associate professor and teaching and research staff in the Department of Business Administration and Product Design at the University of Girona (Spain). Teacher of strategic management and innovation management and deputy director of the Chamber of Commerce Chair of Family Business. Her main research interest is in strategy, entrepreneurship, and holistic approaches of innovation in all types of organizations. She has published in academic journals including Technovation, Management Decision, Production Planning and Control, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing. Since 2005, she is the coordinator of the European Manufacturing Survey (EMS) in Spain.
This research seminar is designed to help PhD students strengthen two of the most critical components of academic research: the introduction and the methodology. Participants will learn how to frame compelling research problems, clearly position their work within existing literature, and articulate research gaps that demonstrate relevance and originality. The seminar also focuses on developing rigorous, transparent, and well-justified methodological designs that enhance credibility and reproducibility. Through practical examples and guided discussion, students will gain concrete strategies to communicate their research with clarity, coherence, and scholarly impact.
