The final exam represents an important formative moment of the Master's Degree Course and consists of a Thesis that must be developed originally by the student under the guidance of a supervisor. The candidate is required to independently carry out the thesis project, from the in-depth design phase of a technical/scientific problem, to the review of the literature, and the development of the methods to approach and respond to the examined problem. The work can be carried out in the departments and laboratories of the University, at other Italian or foreign universities, at external research laboratories, and at industries and professional studios with formalized collaboration relationships. The presentation and discussion of the thesis take place in front of a specific Commission. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently, to manage the topics covered from a scientific and a technical standpoint, and to communicate synthetically.
