This short course offers a comprehensive introduction to the principles and techniques of microwave characterisation of dielectric and carbon-based materials. The course covers a range of essential methodologies that allow for accurate dielectric property determination, EMC absorber applications and measurement techniques for determining material shielding properties. By the end of the course, participants will have gained a comprehensive understanding of microwave-based methods for permittivity and shielding measurements. Student achievement is evaluated individually or in small groups (maximum 2 students) through assignments or papers focused on topics of interest to the course.
