Objectives of the course
The course is aimed to provide knowledge of modern electronic instrumentation and measurement techniques. Signal generation by synthesis techniques and spectrum analysis are also discussed together with the modern programmable measurement systems based on data acquisition boards.
Impedance measurements: DC and AC bridges. RF impedance measurements by vector impedance meters and resonant techniques (Q-meter). Sinusoidal low frequency and RF power measurements. Signal sources, sinusoidal low frequency and RF. Waveform generators. Synthesized sources. Digital oscilloscopes: sampling techniques and operating principles, real time and repetitive, triggering, trace reconstruction and problems. The logic analysers: functional description of the instruments and their performances.

Programmable measurement systems (IEEE-488 interface) and PC-based instrumentation. Programmable systems and data acquisition boards,
Software for managing instrumentation and DAQ boards (LabView).
