The course has the purpose to develop design experiences of interdisciplinary synthesis in the circle of the building project and in the circle of a project relating to territorial hydraulic infrastructures.

The student acquires ability to develop specific themes of design in the professional field in interdisciplinary way, acquiring in the meantime ability of group work.

Notions of Building Technology and Details, general notions of Structural Mechanics and Mechanics of materials, Hydraulic, Hydraulic infrastructures.

The student develops two design themes, one of building design and one of territorial hydraulic infrastructures design.
The two designs themes of professional content are developed that allow an experience of interdisciplinary synthesis, with study of the different phases of definition of the project, from the aspects of general formulation to the definition of the executive details.
In the first theme a plan of an industrial building and the related office building are developed with sizing of the precast structures and of the in situ cast concrete frame structures. The sizing of the foundations is developed on the basis of geotechnical survey.
In the second theme the student developes the verification of embankments of courses of water or the design of hydraulic construction of service to a mountain territorial basin.

The exercises consist in the elaboration of a design of an industrial prefabricated building and of the related office building with some executive developments of constructive details and with calculations of the structures and in the design of hydraulic constructions of service to a territorial basins.

For every monographic matter of the lessons will be furnished the bibliographical indication and the text of publications in subject. Aid books: G. The examination consists of a test with writings questions and of an oral discussion on the contents of the lessons, previous verification of the completeness of the drawings object of the exercises.
