Objectives of the course
The aim of the course is to enhance the basic concepts acquired during the Bachelor's degrees. The course is focused on quality management techniques in product/process design and in acceptance sampling.
|
Expected skills
At the end of the course the student will be able to integrate with application contexts in which the main techniques for quality product/process design, such as QFD ' Quality Function Deployment, FMEA ' Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and acceptance sampling plans are implemented.
|
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Mathematics, Statistics, Metrology, Statistical Process Control and Production Technologies are required.
|
Syllabus
Quality product/process design tools
Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Benchmarking techniques. Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Statistical Process Control (SPC). Acceptance sampling. Acceptance sampling for attributes (single-sampling plans, double-sampling plans, multiple-sampling plans, rectifying inspection, chain sampling) . Military Standard 105E. Acceptance sampling by variables |
Laboratories and/or exercises
