Objectives of the course
The course presents some methodologies to analyse the mechanical systems dynamics. Many examples will be devoted to vehicle dynamics analysis.
|
Expected skills
The student will gain knowledge on mechanical system dynamics analysis.
|
Prerequisites
Applied mechanics.
|
Syllabus
Methods to study the position and the orientation of a rigid body by vector analysis. Kinematics applied to rototraslation of rigid bodies. Euler angles. Denavit-Hartenberg method. Jacobian matrix. Examples of direct and inverse kinematics. Newton-Euler and Lagrange equations. Examples on vehicle systems dynamics.
|
Laboratories and/or exercises
The students develop in team mathematical models devoted to investigate the dynamics of some mechanical systems.
