Objectives of the course
The course is subdivided in two parts. The first is relative to the analysis of industrial systems for the material handling and the fluid distribution inside industrial systems. The second part introduced the statistical techniques for the management and the plants design. An appendix to the course is relative to evaluation of the logistics of the external transports.
Expected skills
The student will have to be able to design plant services and to elaborate statistics with the ANOVA methodology.
Elements of industrial plants and statistics are required.
Material handling systems transport inside traditional and innovative plants: belts conveyors, pneumatic transports (generality, criteria of design). Plant services vapour and technical gases. Statistics (analysis of the variance and design of the experiments) for the design and the management of the plants. Logistic of the external transports (vehicles, load unit, intermodality).
Laboratories and/or exercises
Exercises about the course' topics will be done.
Didactic material available in the 'Portale della Didattica'
Revisions / Exam
The examination consist in an oral test. The teacher reserves the faculty to make a written test.
