Objectives of the course
In this course the main circuits and systems for video production and broadcast are analyzed. In particular the focus will be pointed on modern digital video broadcasting techniques as terrestrial, satellite and cable. Economical aspects will be emphasized considering the relations between video quality and delivery QoS. These aspects are strongly related to the knowledge of cost, performance and characteristics of modern electronic systems. The course will analyze the main Set Top Box block schemes describing the functional blocks and their implementation.
