Objectives of the course
The course provides the basic concepts on radiowave propagation and antennas for modern wireless systems.
Syllabus
' Radiation: Antenna parameters and link budget equation

' Radiowave propagation: plane wave reflection. Fresnel zones. Multipath and urban propagation.

' Antennas: Elementary dipoles and half-wave dipoles. Yagi-Uda. Antenna arrays. Printed antennas. Horns and parabolic antennas. Smart antennas.
Laboratories and/or exercises
Measurement of an antenna radiation pattern.
