Obiettivi dell'insegnamento
The module will provide the basic electric elements and the main electrical systems. The theoretical aspects are targeted at providing the operative instruments necessary for solving the practical problems and for understanding the principles of functioning of the most common electrical devices and systems in the engineering field.

Competenze attese
The student must acquire the necessary instruments for the solution of any electrical circuit operating in stationary or almost stationary systems by means of the different techniques of analysis.

Prerequisiti
Considered as necessary are the concepts of the Mathematical Analysis I module with particular reference to complex calculus and algebreic linear system solutions and the Experimental Physics II modules, regarding mainly the themes of electrostatic field, current field, static magnetic field and the slowly variable fields.

The fundamental electrical dimensions: voltage and current Voltage and current laws Source and load conventions and definitions of power The ideal dipoles: definitions of some dipoles (resistance, voltage and current generators) Continuous current circuits with only one generator Voltage and current dividers Series and parallel resistance Star and triangle connections Theorems for the circuit solutions: superposition theorem, Kirchhoff's theorem, Millmann's theorem, Thevenin's theorem Credit 34: Alternating current monophase circuits Dynamic components: capacitor and inductor Dynamic network: first order Sinusoidal current networks Sinusoidal characterictic quantities The symbolic method (revision of complex numbers) Capacitor and inductor: constitutive equations Impedance: series and parallel impedance Elementary phasor representations Power in alternating current: active, reactive and apparent power The Boucherot's theorem (power's method) Solutions for alternating current circuits Credits 5: The threephase systems General definitions Generators and three phase loads Lines and phases quantities Symmetrical and balanced systems Systems with and without a neutral wire Power of three phase systems: Aron connection Solutions for three phase symmetrical and balanced networks: Onephase equivalents Methods of power Power factor regulation 
Laboratori e/o esercitazioni
Training Programme
Classroom training is scheduled with exercises and example calculations on the subjects covered in the lesson. Example exercises and calculations of topics covered in the classroom are also scheduled. Workshop Programme 2 workshops with a duration of 4 hours each are scheduled and a guided visit to the Fiat Research Centre (CRF). 1° Workshop (computer): analysis of electrical networks by means of circuit simulation in the PSpice environment 2° Workshop (experimental): realisation and experimental analysis of electrical networks realized in laboratory (LADISPE). 3° Workshop: visit to the testing laboratories of CRF;
