Obiettivi dell'insegnamento
The module will provide the basic electric elements and the main electrical systems. The theoretical aspects are targeted at providing the operative instruments necessary for solving the practical problems and for understanding the principles of functioning of the most common electrical devices and systems in the engineering field.
Competenze attese
The student must acquire the necessary instruments for the solution of any electrical circuit operating in stationary or almost stationary systems by means of the different techniques of analysis.
Considered as necessary are the concepts of the Mathematical Analysis I module with particular reference to complex calculus and algebreic linear system solutions and the Experimental Physics II modules, regarding mainly the themes of electrostatic field, current field, static magnetic field and the slowly variable fields.

Source and load conventions and definitions of power
The ideal dipoles: definitions of some dipoles (resistance, voltage and current generators)

Training Programme
Classroom training is scheduled with exercises and example calculations on the subjects covered in the lesson. Example exercises and calculations of topics covered in the classroom are also scheduled.

Workshop Programme
2 workshops with a duration of 4 hours each are scheduled and a guided visit to the Fiat Research Centre (CRF).
1° Workshop (computer): analysis of electrical networks by means of circuit simulation in the PSpice environment
2° Workshop (experimental): realisation and experimental analysis of electrical networks realized in laboratory (LADISPE).
3° Workshop: visit to the testing laboratories of CRF;
