Subject fundamentals
Specialized knowledge course of in the field of interior and exhibit, aimed at a specific expertise in the issues typical of detail scale design.
It’s the depth of topics covered in the Bachelor’s courses related to the fundamentals of architectural interiors, integrated with the specific issues of display, exhibit and retail design. |
Expected learning outcomes
The course aims to:
a) improve the experience in the field of interior design both in the renovation of existing spaces both in the new design of exhibiting spaces and not (such as shop, library, office ,......) b) develop the themes typical of exhibit, exploring both the methodological aspects of the knowledge developed in the Bachelor’s courses - to help design and equip the space intended for permanent and temporary exhibitions - both skill and technical aspects related to the design - essential for addressing properly Exhibit and Retail issues - especially in light of the most significant achievements in the field, useful for observations and evaluations of the different scales of detail. |

Good knowledge of History of Architecture and representation techniques

Contents
The course aims to illustrate the specific issues of interior design - from the rules of the intervention methodologies for defining the internal layout, by reference to the Exhibit characters and Interior Design criteria for the choice of materials, finishes, colors and furnishings, referring to well known examples. The treatment, developed primarily through ex-cathedra lectures will highlight the issues and techniques, methods and criteria for intervention useful for designing.

Delivery modes
The course will be organized in ex-cathedra lectures, dedicated to Exhibit and Retail design; as integration of the lessons design exercises related to the application of the methods and criteria set out in the lessons will be carried out.
According to the number of students site visits referring to thematic issues can be organized during the course. |

Assessment and grading criteria
Learning assessment execution
The exam will consist in the discussion of the topics presented during the lessons and of the design tutorial. It is not expected to present the project before the exam. Evaluation criteria Project materials will be assessed up to a maximum of 50% of the final grade. The discussion of the topics presented during the lessons will be evaluated for the remaining 50%. |
