Subject fundamentals
The course aims to provide students with examples of applied engineering in cutting-edge areas of medicine and surgery. The course includes a substantial contribution of doctors and surgeons. For each topic treated it is provided a brief introduction of anatomy and physiology, a description of pathologies and an updated review of the methods of diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of therapeutic efficacy .
|
Expected learning outcomes
Students at the end of the course must possess skills and abilities that enable them to interface with physicians and surgeons in particular in the fields of urology, radiotherapy, cardiology and plastic surgery.
