Objectives of the course
The focus of this course is on the mathematical techniques used to model and analyze discrete-time systems, with particular emphasis on digital filtering and FFT techniques.

Calculus and signal theory
Syllabus
Definition of energy and power
Discrete time Fourier transform
DFT and FFT
Discrete time linear and time-invariant systems: impulse response, convolution, frequency response
Characteristics of digital filters: physical realizability, stability
Digital Filters: IIR and FIR, the simulation theorem, digital filter design
Laboratories and/or exercises
Matlab base software laboratories on the course topics are hel throughout the course.
