Expected skills
The concepts seen in electrotecnics will be extended to circuit having elements as diodes, field effect and bipolar transistors. Skills to understand how the most important analogic and digital electronic circuits work, will be acquired.
Basisc knowledge on electronic devices and semiconductor physics. Electrotecnic principles. Concepts on electronic communication.
Recalls on electrotecnic and electronic device physic. Bode diagrams. BJT and FET amplifier: bias circuit and frequency response of the CE, CC, and CB configurations.

The differential amplifier. Integrated current generator: the mirror current. Recalls on digital circuits and overview of the most important digital family: TTL, CMOS. ECL. Details on the CMOS logic. The semiconductor memories: ROM, PROM, EPROM, EEPROM, FLASH, RAM.

All the topics will be compounded with exercises in class, devoted to the numerical solution of the problems dealt during the lessons, and laboratories.
Revisions / Exam
The final score is based on a written and oral test, and on the evaluation of the homeworks that the students are asked to develop during the course.
