Obiettivi dell'insegnamento
The course is divided into a theoretical part, more consistent, and a practical part, in which students will be invited to propose design assumptions for cases study.
The field is very broad, so the course aims to provide a basic knowledge.
The examination will be written, with a series of theoretical questions. On that occasion, students also will deliver exercises.
After an overview on the modern museum birth, the teacher will present a survey of the architectural typologies and the most important works in the modern and contemporary architecture: the first museums, the museums of Le Corbusier, Wright, Mies van der Rohe, Aalto, Kahn, Piano, Zumthor, Herzog-De Meuron, Gehry, Ando, Libeskind, Foster and others architects.
The teacher will explain some exemplary realizations (with particular attention to the 'Italian School') and the basic concepts of exhibit design, its principles and its instruments: the 'direction', the path, the lighting design, the protection, the education and other instruments.
The bibliography will be notified by the teacher along the way.
Programma: informazioni integrative
