Syllabus
Elements of kinematics, static and dynamics of mechanical systems
Overview of machines functional parts. Examples of transmission systems. Kinematics of rigid body. Coupling between rigid bodies: bearings and cams, linear guides and other. Kinematics of relative motion. Examples for studying the kinematics of complex automatics machines. Dynamics of 2D and 3D mechanical systems: forces and couples, cardinal equations, free body diagram. Inertia forces reduction. Friction laws. Energy equation. Linear and angular momentum. Balance of rotating systems. Free and forced linear vibrations of single degree of freedom systems. Elements of multi degree of freedom systems. 
Laboratories and/or exercises
A number of exercises is proposed to the student to improve the skill in solving simple mechanical problems.

Revisions / Exam
The final exam is in written form (23 exercises)
