Prerequisites / Assumed knowledge
The knowledge provided by the courses of Mathematics and Physics held in the first two years of the degree course in engineering are needed
Texts, readings, handouts and other learning resources

Topics dealt with in the course are presented in several textbooks about Fluid Mechanics (e.g., Citrini e Noseda, Idraulica, CLUT; Munson et al., Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics, etc.)

Reference books are:

- Tritton, Physical Fluid Mechanics

Assessment and grading criteria
The exam consists of a written test and an oral exam. The written test is held at LAIB and consists of a series of multiple-choice questions. The test duration is 2 hours. The written exam is passed when the candidate gets a higher rating than or equal to 12. This condition is necessary to access the oral exam. The highest mark of the written test is 20. The result of a written exam is only valid for the corresponding session.
