During the two years, all subjects related to trades and professions in cinema and digital communication systems find a place in the programme. The contents include methods and techniques related to the media, and the tools for analysing the technological, social and economic processes to design and position the media product. The programme syllabus has a well-balanced distribution of specific skills needed for computer science (e.g. multimedia environments and technologies and virtual reality), for the field of cinema, media and new media (design, production, post-production, communication and evaluation of multimedia, audiovisual and cross-media projects), for economics and marketing (marketing and communication strategies in new contexts of digital production, with particular attention to the market for cinematographic, audiovisual, digital entertainment and online communication products) along with necessary additions from a variety of technological fields (special effects, sound engineering, immersive cinema). There will also be laboratories and practical work experience, and the opportunity to do the thesis background work at a Polytechnic research laboratory or at an external company interested in the project.

The professional figure that the course intends to train is a designer and developer of 2D and 3D interactive graphic applications oriented towards the markets of entertainment and multimedia products applied to different contexts. This figure manages the interaction with customers in order to define the implementation of production specifications and coordinates the implementation and maintenance of 2D and 3D graphic applications. SKILLS RELATED TO THE ROLE: - Design and implementation of virtual 3D environments and 2D and 3D interactive graphic applications (e.g. Virtual reality and entertainment applications). - Design and production of films using computer animation techniques.
