Description This thesis project focuses on the mechanochemical synthesis of lead-free pseudo-perovskite materials. These materials will be evaluated for their potential as photocatalysts for the generation of solar fuels by studying their structural and optical properties using techniques such as XRD and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Additionally, heterojunction structures will be explored by combining the synthesized materials with catalysts such as graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) to enhance charge separation and catalytic efficiency. Thin films will be fabricated and tested as photoelectrodes to investigate the kinetics of carrier transfer through advanced electrochemical methods, including impedance spectroscopy and intensity-modulated spectroscopy. The study aims to provide insights into the reaction mechanisms and enhance the efficiency of these materials in solar-driven fuel generation.
