Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description Preparation and characterisation of thin film gas sensors by different deposition techniques (e.g. pulsed laser deposition, evaporation etc). The student will prepare set of samples of semiconducting material (metal oxide) on gas sensing substrate and measure the DC and AC responses to selected gasses. The deposited layers will be characterised by the chemical, microstructural and morphological point of view to optimise the sensing properties.
Required skills Knowledge on thin film deposition techniques.
Knowledge on surface and materials characterisation.
Notes The thesis will be carried out partially in Politecnico and partially at University of Chemistry and Technology (UCT), in Prague.
