Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description Preparation and characterization of superficial oxide layers obtained by anodization on titanium alloys for biomedical applications. During the experimental activities, different process parameters will be assessed, optimizing the growth kinetics and the morphology of the oxide layers. Moreover, physical, electrochemical, and morphological characterizations will be carried out, in order to evaluate the use of these materials in the biomedical field.
Required skills Materials Science, Basics of electrochemistry.
Notes Possibility to carry out part of the thesis work in the laboratories of the University of Illinois at Chicago (IL, USA).
