Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL AND SIMULATION
Description In developing countries, the death toll from earthquakes is high, although systems exist to mitigate the most disastrous effects. However, these techniques are very expensive and often not economically viable. The thesis analyzes low-cost seismic protection systems for developing countries, comparing them and highlighting their ability to reduce seismic risk through a cost-benefit analysis.
