Description The thesis require the literature analysis of the test rigs for high speed air bearings aimed to determine the coefficients of stiffness and damping. The analysis requires also the study of the numerical methodologies to obtain such coefficients from the experimental data. The study is aimed at the stability analysis of the rotor at very high speeds.
