Description The objective of this thesis is the implementation of the SWAN (Simulating WAves Nearshore) numerical model to deduce detailed wave characteristics at a given coastal site. This model will be calibrated and subsequently validated on the basis of measured data (e.g. wave buoys). The results obtained will then be useful to analyse the wave resource and to have estimates of electricity production from wave motion.
