Description The decarbonisation scenarios of the electricity system set a growing penetration of renewable energy sources. The change from an energy system based predominantly on high marginal costs to one with almost zero marginal costs will change market prices.
The thesis aims to create a data-driven model which, starting from historical market data and the trajectories of the increase of renewables in the coming decades, realizes an estimate of the hourly price profiles of electricity in 2030 and 2040.
