Description The production of biodiesel is one of the most promising technologies for decarbonizing the transportation sector. However, the simultaneous production of glycerol as a byproduct has led to market saturation, necessitating the development of processes to valorize it. This thesis proposal focuses specifically on the development, characterization, and performance analysis of innovative catalysts to enhance the efficiency and selectivity of this process towards the production of propylene glycol, thereby contributing to the promotion of sustainable chemical production
