Description The thesis addresses the rising issue of violence, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, proposing the use of video surveillance and smart city technology to detect and respond to emergency signals like the "Signal for Help", developing a platform with low computational requirements, utilizing video surveillance and artificial intelligence to recognize emergency gestures in real-time. The ultimate goal is to enhance community safety by automatically alerting authorities for immediate assistance. Additionally, to implement the developed recognition algorithm on embedded system.
