Description The aim of the study is the design of a shape that can represent the Directed Energy Deposition process and perform simulations to predict the distortion and the residual stress in the final part. The first step of the study will be focused on the implementation of CAD geometry that can enhance the distortion effects due to thermal stresses in the final part. Finally, the verification and validation of the model on the experimental campaign will be necessary.
