Description All industrial sectors are paying increasing attention to environmental regulations, with the aim of minimizing the environmental impact of their activities and products. The industrial policies of Leonardo S.p.A - Electronics Division also pursue these goals through the implementation of the sustainability objectives set out by the United Nations Organization (UN Environment Sustainable Goals) throughout the life path of a product, starting from the design phases. and development up to management, maintenance of the product in service and decommissioning.
To this end, the activity - which will take place in collaboration with Leonardo S.p.A - Electronics Division - will study how to introduce the digital passport of the product, a tool aimed at collecting information of a technical and ecological nature during the life cycle of all components and key materials of the product itself. This tool, closely related to the digital twin or "Digital Twin" of each real component and constantly aligned to the real conditions of the component it represents, will highlight ...
The set of passports of all the components of the complex product-system, in turn, will form the passport of the entire system, also closely related to its Digital Twin (DT), which will accompany it throughout its life span as well. to obtain an accurate traceability of its state, linked both to the construction phases and to the methods of use.
In particular, the thesis work will have to study a methodology to keep the physical product synchronous with its digital model (Digital Twin) - which will also contain the information that make up the digital passport.
Expected commitment: overall, the expected commitment for the thesis activity is 6 months full-time, of which about 50% (on average 2-3 days a week) will be spent at the company. Any flexibility with respect to concomitant study commitments and / or preparation for exams may be assessed, on a case-by-case basis, within reasonable limits of lengthening (1 - 2 months max) of the work program.
