Description Energy system optimization models (ESOMs) are fundamental to study alternative possible future energy policies and their effectiveness to achieve the announced objectives in energy strategies. The huge amount of data required to build a reference energy system in ESOMs (referenced data and assumptions) and the uncertainties associated to these data imply the necessity to perform sensitivity analysis to study with proper methods how differences in input data propagate in output data. The aim of the thesis is to development a study about these aspects to provide a quantitative evaluation of the accuracy and reliability of results obtained with ESOMs.
