Description Despite their large role energy demand at the global level, minor industrial sectors are almost never reported in detail in macro-scale models, usually characterized by a high level of disaggregation in the description of energy-intensive technologies. Indeed, their role in the energy system is just described through generic trends for energy demand, that does not allow a precise analysis of their role in the clean energy transition. The aim of this thesis is to develop a detailed scheme of the current final energy demand breakdown in such production sectors to be used in energy models of the TIMES family, with consequent implementation of the new consumption module.
