Thesis type DESIGN AND SIMULATIONS

Description In collaboration with Analog Devices Italia (Milano), this thesis proposes to study both from the theoretical and a more practical point of view the design of a low-medium power (about 100W) Wireless power transfer system relying on a Resonant LLC converter for near-field (few millimeters) energy transfer. This topic includes the investigation of the best solution for the coupled coils (either based on commercial available solutions or ad-hoc designed), of the resonant converters topology to be employed, of the oscillation frequency (6.78 MHz ISM band, 13.56 MHz ISM band, or other solutions).

Required skills * Acquaintance with Matlab
* Acquaintance with ElectroMagnetic simulation tools (Keysight ADS, AWR, etc.)
* Good knowledge of circuital simulation tools (spice and/or cadence)
* Good skills in circuit measurements and design
