Description On the basis of the identification technology recently approved at a scientific level, the sediments of two different tourist caves will be analyzed, evaluating the presence of microplastics due to the tourist impact. The data obtained in the laboratory will be compared with those already available on the Bossea cave and will relate to the geo-morophlogical characteristics and the tourist influx of the caves studied. The samples are already available to the DIATI Multimodal Analysis laboratory. The research is part of the objectives of a national PRIN project (SHOWCAVE) which aims to study the impact of tourists on the caves.

Required skills Attention and predisposition towards the experimental tests and microscope analysis are required.
