Description Threaded joints made of steel screws or nuts with different types of surface coatings will be examined. Metallographic characterizations, tightening tests for the determination of the friction coefficient of the threads (performed with a dedicated test bench), and corrosion resistance tests, could be carried out. The thesis will take place at the Iveco plant in Strada delle Cascinette in Turin. The thesis will be carried out preferably together with an internship of similar subject, for a total period of about 6 months in the company.
