Description In serveral markets VoLTE service and VoWiFi service are of interest for the operators and they are planning to use the same IMS network to provide their subscrbier with both services. 3GPP standards defines archiectures and enablers for VoLTE and I-WLAN, but some optimization is needed to make the two services co-exist, granting the same level of security, performances and reliability. The scope of the work is to check the architectures and functional entities involved to provide the VoLTE and VoWiFi services, to analyze the procedures for registration, call setup and mobility and identify the proper requirements/configurations on the IMS nodes to serve the subscribers with both VoLTE and VoWiFi.
Required skills Basic programming skills, some knowledge of networking, IP, possibly LTE (not mandatory).
