Description The thesis will deal with the theoretical analysis of the popping of a kid rubber balloon underwater to estimate the energy evolution of the phenomenon in time.
Within the thesis experiments could be carried out both on air, with fast cameras, and underwater with hydrophones which collect the pressure underwater in time.
The thesis aims to estimate the suitability of such a popping as a low (roughly below 1kHz) frequency seismic source for lake sediments seismic analysis.
