Description The aim of the present thesis work is the dynamic modelling of the possible tensioning devices that are possible for correct functioning of micro hybrid powertrains based on an electric machine that can work as motor or generator and that is connected to the powertrain by means of a belt drive system. It is expected an experimental part using a test facility available at the Mechatronic Laboratory of the Politecnico di Torino. The thesis work will be developed within a co-operation between Polito and FCA/CRF and other companies that are involve in the initiative.

Required skills use of Matlab/Simulink
