Thesis in external company
keywords ELECTRICAL MACHINES, EMBEDDED SYSTEMS, MODEL BASED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT, SIMULATION
Reference persons MASSIMO VIOLANTE
Research Groups DAUIN - GR-05 - ELECTRONIC CAD & RELIABILITY GROUP - CAD
Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description The thesis is framed inside the development of an innovative e-axle for battery electric vehicles (BEV). Currently, the project has already finished the technology demonstrator phase and the host company aims to further develope the system to reach product maturity.
In this scenario, modularity and reusability of the software are important cornerstones that will be adressed in the thesis by the Simulink implementation of a torque control logic already written in C.
Goal:
- Translate in simulink a tested torque control logic for electric machines written in C language.
- Validate the implemented control in simulation.
- Comparison between the implemented control logic in Simulink and the original implemented in C.
- Validate the implemented control on the test bench (possibility depending on project development)
Required skills C programming, MATLAB/Simulink (knowledge of the topics of the Model-based Software Design class are welcome)
