Description The aim of the thesis is to carry out a bibliographic review of the microstructures built with additive manufacturing processes.
The fabrication of MEMS (electro-mechanical microsystems) traditionally based on micro-machining methods, is moving towards additive processes. The typologies of materials available and processes require analysis and review.
The thesis activity is completed with the design and calculation of a microstructure by using the finite element method (FEM) and the structural properties identified during the first part.
The additional objective is the publication of a journal paper.
