Description This thesis aims to the design of a patient-specific wound dressing through green approaches. To this aim, ad-hoc synthesized poly(urethane)s will be first functionalized with Vis-light sensitive groups through green processes. Complete physico-chemical and biological characterization of the developed materials will be performed. Then, the optimized formulation will be microfabricated into 3D multi-layered structures through organic solvent-free technologies (e.g., 3D bioprinting). The printing process will be optimized and the resulting patch will be tested in terms of biocompatibility, and capability to reduce inflammation and promote tissue regeneration through 2D cell cultures and 3D bioengineered tissue models.
