Description The thesis concerns the study of the corrosion behavior of copper-based alloys of interest in cultural heritage. In particular, the experimental research work deals with the characterization of natural and artificial patinas on metal artifacts by means of electrochemical, spectroscopic and diffraction techniques. The possibility of using neutron imaging techniques to study the degradation phenomena affecting bronze artefacts will also be evaluated.
