Description This thesis is focused on the analysis of possible vulnerabilities available both on the network connections (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi) and applications used in the entertainment sector, both in the automotive context (e.g. studying the specificities of Android Auto and Apple Car Play systems) and in the home contest (e.g. studying Smart TV, IoT devices and smart watch systems) with the aim of highlighting any security issues and evaluating the collection of personal information about the owner.
Depending on the obtained results, it will be evaluated the possibility to develop and integrate a Proof of Concept, into an existing probe with the aim of demonstrating such exposures.
This thesis will be carried out with the collaboration of XXXLAB (undisclosed company), mostly on the company premises (5 mins walking distance from Torino Porta Nuova train station); depending on the student average mark, it may include a scholarship.
