Description Special joining strategies are used to connect metals and composites for high-performances applications in mechanics (racing vehicles), aeronautics (aircrafts), aerospace (rockets), etc.

The use of innovative processes as the Additive Manufacturing offers new design solutions for the creation of metal-composite joints without the use of rivets or adhesives.

The thesis activity is addressed to the design and FEM modeling of this type of joints, and eventually their experimental validation.
