Description Special joining strategies are used to connect metals and composites.

The use of Additive Manufacturing design increases the design methods usable in this field of research.

The thesis will investigate metal lattice-CFRP joints design making use of special design.

The structures will be optimized in order to guarantee best mechanical properties for the joint, and at the same time, they have to be compatible with other features of lightweight design as lattice structures.

The thesis work will be supported by finite element method as a tool for the generation of models then validated with available experimental data.
