Description Additive manufacturing allows the design and building of new structural shapes with complex geometry.
This capability opens to new design opportunities, with special focus on lattice structures. They can provide variable mechanical properties (density, stiffness, etc.) along the component by using the same material.
The thesis will focus on the modeling, simulation and eventually experimental validation of lattice structures.
In particular, the fatigue behavior of samples and components will be investigated.
