Description Part of a 2-year research project with an important company in the sector, the goal of this thesis is the modelling and control of an Aerial Platform Vehicle’s arm to avoid capsizing and maximize it extension in different working conditions.
The student will start from previous simplified control systems already implemented and shall propose new modelling and control strategies to improve the system’s performance, following requirements and limitations imposed by the real application (limited number of sensors, uncertainties in the measurements, standards and legislation, etc..).
Required skills Independence, fast-learning and strong modelling and simulation capabilities are required. Strong base on MATLAB/Simulink and Multibody simulation is desired and good knowledge of Italian language is an advantage.
